General Secretariat for Mental Health and Addiction Treatment received a delegation from Dubai Police
Within the framework of the guidance of His Excellency the Minister of Health and Population, and the constant pursuit of the General Secretariat for Mental Health, Treatment of Addiction, activating the joint cooperation between the General Secretariate and International Institutions, and in coordination with the Central Laboratory Team headed by A. D. Nancy the Soldier
Today, the General Secretariat for Mental Health and Addiction Treatment received a delegation from Dubai Police headed by Major General Ahmed Thani Abu Ghalita Al-Muhiri, Director of the General Administration for Criminal Evidence and Criminology.
The delegation was interested in learning about the services provided in the hospitals of the General Secretariat for Mental Health and Addiction Treatment in the field of treatment and rehabilitation of addiction patients.
The two parties addressed several of its highlights; the services provided in hospitals, the role of the medical team in its various specialties, as well as the research carried out by the General Secretariat in the field of addiction, qualifying programs and various community activities, and the existing cooperation between the General Secretariate and various ministries to serve addiction patients in Egypt.
As reviewed by Dr. Rania Zakaria, General Director of General Administration for Hospital Affairs, about the scientific-based programs that the General Secretariat for Mental Health has been following for several years in the field of prevention and treatment of addiction, as a gap closing program and a school mental health program.
At the conclusion of the visit, the two parties reaffirmed their interest in continuing communication and cooperation between the two sides to serve addiction patients and improve services provided in the two sister countries.
