Prof. Dr. Manen Abdel Maksoud, Secretary-General of the General Secretariat for Mental Health and Addiction Treatment, participated in a speech entitled: "Progress in the prevention and control of noncommunicable diseases and the promotion of mental health" in the 150th session of the Executive Board of the World Health Organization, in the presence of Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director  General of the World Health Organization, and Dr. Patrick Amoth, President of the Executive Council of the World Health Organization, on January 26, 2022 via the Zoom application.
 At the beginning of her speech, the professor expressed her thanks and appreciation the great role played by the World Health Organization in the field of public health in general, mental health and combating addiction in particular, and sincere thanks and gratitude to the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population, which plays its role with unparalleled efficiency in facing the repercussions of the Covid 19 pandemic that is still ravaging the world.
