In order to spread more the culture of mental health and addiction treatment in the Egyptian society, and the ongoing efforts to remove the stigma of mental illness, the General Secretariat for Mental Health and Addiction Treatment has honored the launch of 2022 as the Year of Mental Health and addiction treatment in Egypt.

Under the patronage of Dr. Menen Abdul Maqsood - Secretary General of the Secretariat for Mental Health and Addiction Treatment, and Professor Dr. Ranih Ahmed Zakaria - General Manager of Hospitals in the Secretariat, and under the supervision of Mr. Mona Tam - Director of Public Relations, Media and Health education in the secretariat, Sohag Health Hospital Psychology and addiction treatment headed by Professor Dr. Akram Ahmed Al-Sawi - Hospital Director, under the supervision of the Department of Public Relations, Media and Health Education in the hospital, conducted a training course with a number of (3) Imams of the Directorate of Endowments of Sohag on Monday 2022/9/26 inside the hospital To train them on the concepts of mental health and addiction treatment so they can become later Ambassadors of those concepts and delivering them to the community.

He attended the course from the hospital both:

* Dr. Akram Ahmed Al-Sawi - Hospital Manager

* Dr. / Muller Wadi Hunari - Director of Therapeutic Medicine in the Hospital

* Mr. Mohamed Shahata Amer - Director of Psychologists in the Hospital

I supervise training hospital PR management and they:

* Mr. Alaa Mahmoud Hashem - Director of Public Relations, Media and Health Education in the Hospital

* Mr. Ola Abdelrahim - Public Relations Specialist in the Hospital

* Mr. Robert Jamil Yeni - Hospital PR member

After the training was completed a breakfast meal was served to the trainees through the hospital.
