For the third time in 2022, the General Secretariat for Mental Health and Addiction Treatment launches a “Eid with Others” campaign to prevent drug abuse
For the third year in a row, the General Secretariat for Mental Health and Addiction Treatment is holding “Eid Like Others” events, a campaign organized by the General Secretariate sponsored by the Ministry of Health and Population.
The campaign comes on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, an occasion usually associated with drug abuse among many addiction patients.
Aiming for the feast without others campaign
Awareness of the risks of addiction, providing good conditions and healthy environment for the recovered people to spend different occasions and festivals and enjoy in an atmosphere of recovery, and to ensure that they are able to enjoy life, without the need of drugs. Also providing protection to addiction patients during the Eid by extending the stay of the quarantined patients in the internal wards of Amana hospitals, and postponing their discharge until the end of the Eid days. Also allow recovered people to participate in campaign activities and spend Eid night inside the hospital for their protection.
"Eid like others" events are held inside or outside hospitals and secretariat centers as cultural roles and sports clubs, including many sports, entertainment and artistic activities that showcase the talents of recovered people, as well as talking about their healing journey inside hospitals and outside Concentrate on the trust.
The Secretariat also, when holding the campaign, takes care of celebrating the recovered people who have completed their treatment in hospitals and centers of the Trustee, which has a total number of 8 hospitals and centers in 12 Egyptian governorates. In addition to felicitating recovery mentors working in internal departments, given their vital role in conveying their life experiences to patients during the recovery period, through their treatment period in hospitals and amana centers.
It is reported that "Eid al-Mubarak" is the third event organized by the General Secretariat for Mental Health and Addiction Treatment for Addiction Prevention this year after the "New Year" and "Eid Al-Fitr" events.
