Alzheimer's dementia
Dementia is a term used to describe a group of symptoms caused by persistent brain damage. Dementia is the name for a group of symptoms associated with an ongoing decline of brain functioning. It can affect memory, thinking skills and other mental abilities.
The exact cause of Alzheimer's disease is unknown, but certain factors are thought to raise the risk of developing it. Alzheimer's disease affects women more than men, and the incidence doubles every five years after sixty until it reaches 25% of those aged 75. Unfortunately, we do not know the disease's cause, it can not be predicted or prevented.
